PESHAWAR (Kashif Arif) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Masood Ahmed, carried out a detailed inspection of the rally venue in Peshawar on Friday, emphasizing strict adherence to the security plan and coordination among all law enforcement units.
During his visit, SSP Masood Ahmed reviewed the overall security arrangements, ensuring that police officers, lady constables, and the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) teams were fully briefed and prepared to manage any untoward situation. He instructed the personnel to remain vigilant, proactive, and disciplined, reiterating that implementation of the security plan is of utmost importance.
Special checkpoints have been established in and around the rally venue to monitor movement and strengthen preventive measures. Authorities confirmed that security has been further tightened to avert any possible threat. The police presence has been significantly increased with multiple layers of surveillance.
In addition to ground deployments, specialized units including the Ababeel Squad, City Patrolling Force, and Traffic Police have been assigned continuous monitoring and patrolling duties. These teams are tasked with ensuring smooth vehicular movement, crowd management, and immediate response in case of emergencies.
Speaking to the media, SSP Masood Ahmed appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the police personnel deployed on duty. He stressed that citizens’ support is crucial for maintaining peace and order during public gatherings.
The enhanced security arrangements reflect the administration’s commitment to safeguarding both participants and the general public. Officials noted that all available resources are being utilized to maintain law and order in the city during large-scale political activities.
