Lahore(Khyber Point) The Lahore High Court (LHC) has delivered an important ruling in the alleged assault case involving TikToker Ayesha Jutt, granting pre-arrest bail to the accused, Salman Haider.
During the hearing, presided over by Justice Jawad Zafar, the court examined Haider’s pre-arrest bail petition. The accused was represented by counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq.
The bench questioned whether the charges against the accused even constituted a prosecutable offense. Responding to the inquiry, police officials informed the court that they did not require Haider’s arrest at this stage of the investigation.
Justice Zafar remarked that if the police had no intent to arrest the suspect, the court must then consider the current status and nature of the case. After reviewing the record and hearing arguments from both sides, the LHC approved Salman Haider’s pre-arrest bail petition.
The decision marks a key development in the high-profile case, which has attracted significant public and media attention since allegations first surfaced. Legal analysts suggest the ruling may influence the trajectory of the investigation, as it underscores the court’s scrutiny of police actions and the evidence presented.
For now, the accused remains free under the court’s protection, while the case continues to proceed through legal channels.
