New Jersey( Khyber Point)Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that US President Donald Trump has directed American companies to immediately invest in Pakistan, marking what he described as a new era in bilateral trade and economic relations.

Speaking to media representatives in New Jersey, the Prime Minister revealed that the United States has expressed willingness to invest in Pakistan’s IT, energy, agriculture, and mineral sectors. He added that President Trump personally instructed US corporations to initiate investment ventures without delay.

Terming his meeting with President Trump as “highly productive and important,” Shehbaz Sharif said the discussion opened new avenues for strengthening ties between Islamabad and Washington. He praised Trump’s past role in facilitating the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, calling him a leader who “truly desires peace.”

Sharif further noted that Pakistan’s economy is gradually improving, with inflation reduced to single digits within a year and a half. He highlighted ongoing progress in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, pointing out positive developments in both trade and diplomacy.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed regional security, counterterrorism, and intelligence cooperation. According to an official statement, Sharif emphasized the need to expand defense and security collaboration while thanking President Trump for advancing trade opportunities. He extended an invitation for Trump to visit Pakistan in the near future.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan has offered American companies significant opportunities in agriculture, IT, minerals, and energy, expressing hope that under Trump’s leadership, bilateral relations will become stronger and more sustainable.

Sharif also recalled his warm reception in Saudi Arabia, describing it as “unparalleled in the last four decades,” and lauded Pakistan’s military leadership for its strategic role in countering regional threats.
