Islamabad/Riyadh ( Khyber Point) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the extraordinary hospitality extended to him during his official visit to the Kingdom.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif said he was “deeply moved” by the warm and heartfelt welcome given upon his arrival in Riyadh. He noted that the reception highlighted the long-standing ties of affection and mutual respect between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister said he was particularly impressed by the ceremonial honors accorded to him, including the fly-past by the Royal Saudi Air Force and the salute presented by the Saudi armed forces’ contingent. “The historic welcome has won my heart,” Shehbaz remarked.
He further stated that his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was extremely pleasant and productive. The two leaders discussed regional challenges, bilateral cooperation, and opportunities to expand trade, investment, and business relations.
Shehbaz Sharif lauded the vision and leadership of the Saudi crown prince, describing him as a driving force behind strengthening bilateral relations and fostering deeper economic ties. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s special interest in investment and trade partnerships with Pakistan was highly commendable and crucial for the economic future of both nations.
The Pakistani leader concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with Saudi Arabia to elevate relations to new heights and to address shared regional and global challenges together.
