Lakki Marwat ( Khyber Point) A late-night gun attack at a petrol pump on Mianwali Road in Wanda Painda Khan left one man dead, police confirmed on Friday.
According to initial reports, unidentified armed assailants exchanged fire with the watchman stationed at the “Go Petrol Pump.” The clash turned deadly when the watchman, identified as Hayatullah, was fatally struck during the exchange.
Police sources said local residents alerted authorities after hearing heavy gunfire in the area. A police team rushed to the scene but the attackers had already fled under the cover of darkness. Officials have cordoned off the site and collected forensic evidence while launching a manhunt to trace the culprits.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and investigators are considering multiple angles including attempted robbery, targeted killing, or militant activity. Authorities have assured that those responsible will be brought to justice.
