Islamabad( Khyber Point)A high-level Palestinian delegation led by Chief Justice Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Abdul Rahman Al-Habbash arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday and held a meeting with Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

The delegation included the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Imam of Ibrahimi Mosque, marking an important engagement between Pakistan and Palestine amid ongoing regional turmoil. During the meeting in the federal capital, the Palestinian representatives expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by recent floods in Pakistan and conveyed solidarity with the affected families.

Minister Yousaf reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that the nation’s backing goes beyond religion, ethnicity, or culture and stands as a moral and humanitarian duty. He strongly condemned Israeli military actions in Gaza, including the killing of civilians and desecration of holy sites, and reiterated that Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic, and moral support to Palestine. He further revealed that, on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, relief goods are being dispatched for the people of Gaza.

Dr. Al-Habbash thanked Pakistan for its consistent stance and advocacy on international platforms. He noted that several countries are expected to recognize Palestine as an independent state in the coming weeks, adding that the day is near when Muslim leaders will unite at Al-Aqsa Mosque in prayers of gratitude.

Both sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation through scholarly exchanges, interfaith dialogue, and joint initiatives for promoting peace and solidarity across the Muslim world.
