Buner( Junaid Toru) Pakistan – The Pakistan Development Foundation (PDF) has stepped forward to support flood-hit communities in Buner, setting up multiple relief camps across the district to provide much-needed assistance. Hundreds of families affected by recent flash floods received food rations, bedding, utensils, gas cylinders, clothing, and other essential supplies.
According to PDF officials, the distribution drive was carried out after a comprehensive ground survey, during which local volunteers and coordinators identified the most urgent needs of affected households. The campaign was made possible through strong collaboration with Women University Mardan, Hayatabad Khidmat-ul-Ibad Ladies Club, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, Frontier Girls College, and several other institutions.
On the occasion, PDF Chairman Bilal Sethi, Advisor Wardah Sultan, and Buner in-charge Nauman Khan, along with Imad Taj, Ubaid Bangash, Yahya Shah, and other team members, personally distributed relief items and visited the homes of flood victims. Speaking to the media, Bilal Sethi reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with disaster-stricken communities.
“Since the cloudburst and devastating floods, our team has been present on the ground. We made a promise to God and the people, and today, we are fulfilling it. PDF will continue supporting the victims until they are safely back in their homes,” he said.
Local residents warmly welcomed the efforts, praising PDF’s timely action. The foundation’s relief work has also been acknowledged by Member Provincial Assembly Karamatullah Khan Chagharmatti, who lauded the organization’s dedication on social media.
