During his interaction with civil administration officials, Field Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of good governance and people-centric development. He underscored that infrastructure development projects necessary to protect communities from recurring flood disasters must be completed on a priority basis. “The state cannot afford the loss of precious lives and property every year,” he stressed.

The Army Chief also met with flood-affected families who had been safely evacuated through joint efforts of the military and civil administration. The victims expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their timely assistance in the face of devastation.

Field Marshal Munir further interacted with soldiers engaged in the relief operations, as well as Rescue 1122 personnel and police officials. He lauded their high morale, operational readiness, and tireless commitment to serving the nation during times of crisis. “Your round-the-clock dedication in close coordination with civil authorities is commendable,” he remarked.

Later, the Army Chief conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit regions along the Lahore-Kasur and Multan-Jalalpur Pirwala axes to assess the scale of damage and evaluate the ongoing relief work firsthand.
