Peshawar( Khyber Point) Security forces in Pakistan carried out three major operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on September 9 and 10, eliminating 19 militants belonging to the India-backed militant network “Fitna al-Khawarij.”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the largest of the operations was conducted in the Gulonu area of Mohmand district. Acting on precise intelligence, troops targeted a militant hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, 14 militants were killed on the spot.

In a separate operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, security forces engaged militants in a gun battle, resulting in the elimination of four more fighters. Meanwhile, in Bannu district, another operation was launched that led to the killing of one additional militant linked with cross-border terrorist activities.

ISPR reported that weapons and large quantities of ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. These terrorists had been actively involved in carrying out deadly attacks across the tribal districts, targeting civilians and security personnel alike.

The military’s spokesperson emphasized that clearance operations are continuing in all three areas to ensure no hidden militants remain. The operations underscore Pakistan’s determination to root out terrorist networks operating with external support.

The ISPR further highlighted that the successful actions reflect the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to dismantle militant infrastructure and neutralize hostile elements. “The Pakistan Army remains fully committed to eliminating Indian-sponsored terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the country,” the statement concluded.

The people of KP, who have endured years of violence from these groups, have welcomed the latest operations as a major step toward stability in the region.
