Gaza City( Khyber Point)Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment of the Gaza Strip, killing at least 52 Palestinians in the latest wave of airstrikes, according to Arab media reports.
Witnesses and local officials said residential buildings and refugee camps were among the targets, leaving widespread devastation. The fresh attacks pushed the death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to 64,522, while injuries have surpassed 163,000.
The violence also spread to the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces launched raids in response to a deadly shooting in Jerusalem that killed six Israelis and wounded 12. In Jenin refugee camp, soldiers killed two Palestinian teenagers during what was described as a “search operation.” Several others were reported injured.
The escalating violence comes as diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire continue. U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly proposed a new truce plan that includes the release of all Israeli hostages in exchange for thousands of Palestinian prisoners, alongside an immediate halt to hostilities.
Hamas has welcomed the U.S. proposal, signaling its willingness to engage in negotiations. A senior Hamas representative said the group was prepared to discuss terms that could lead to “a fair and comprehensive ceasefire.”
However, Israel has maintained a hardline stance, insisting that any deal must include the complete disarmament of Hamas. Officials in Tel Aviv stated they would not agree to a ceasefire that allows the group to retain its military capabilities.
As bombardments continue and diplomatic channels stall, civilians in Gaza face mounting casualties and worsening humanitarian conditions. Aid groups warn that the death toll could rise further if immediate international action is not taken.
