:Peshawar( Khyber Point)The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has reaffirmed its commitment to stand by flood-affected citizens, ensuring timely distribution of compensation to all victims. Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, stated that the process of providing financial assistance is progressing swiftly under the directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
In an official statement, Barrister Saif highlighted that compensation checks worth 664 million rupees have already been distributed among the families of 332 martyrs. Of these, families of 171 martyrs in Buner received 342 million rupees in financial aid. Additionally, checks amounting to 19.5 million rupees have been distributed among those injured in the floods.
The provincial government has also initiated compensation for housing losses. Owners of completely destroyed homes have so far been provided checks worth 58 million rupees, while 39 partially damaged houses have been compensated with 14.5 million rupees. Saif emphasized that this process would be further accelerated to ensure that no affected family is left behind.
In addition to housing and casualty compensation, the government has also rolled out digital relief measures. Through a digital app, affected individuals have received food stamps worth 15,000 rupees each, ensuring immediate access to basic necessities.
Barrister Saif stressed that the provincial government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, is fully committed to supporting the flood victims at every step. “The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands shoulder-to-shoulder with all affected citizens and will ensure timely and transparent compensation payments,” he assured.
This initiative is being widely seen as a crucial step toward rehabilitating communities devastated by floods, restoring public trust, and providing much-needed relief to those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods.
