Peshawar(Khyber Point) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Thursday lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for dealing a decisive blow to India’s “arrogance,” attributing the success to the prayers of Pakistani mothers and widespread public support. Speaking at an event marking Operation Bunyān-i-Marsūs, Saif framed the military’s achievement as a collective national victory that warrants gratitude.
Addressing a packed gathering in Peshawar, the provincial adviser said Pakistan’s resilience stems from popular backing, civic spirit and faith — not from material symbols like aircraft or skyscrapers. “The nation is built by the support and zeal of its people,” he declared, urging citizens to maintain unity and pride in the national flag.
Saif praised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the provincial leadership’s efforts, while underscoring that public solidarity was central to the armed forces’ success. He warned of the evolving nature of conflict, urging vigilance against “fifth-generation warfare” — a reference to psychological and information operations aimed at sowing discord and hatred within society. “Children, be mindful: these tactics try to plant anti-state sentiments in hearts,” he cautioned.
The adviser called on citizens to internalize patriotism and remain alert to non-kinetic threats that target minds and morale. “When the spirit of the flag lives in our hearts, the enemy will remember,” he said, appealing for continued public support for national institutions.
Political commentators say such rhetoric is likely to bolster public morale and reinforce the narrative of national unity amid heightened regional tensions. Humanitarian and civil-society voices, however, have previously urged balancing celebrations of military success with efforts to ease civilian suffering and pursue diplomatic solutions.
