Karachi: Legendary Pakistani actress Nisho Begum has hinted at the possibility of a fourth marriage, sparking widespread debate across social media. The veteran star, who has been part of the country’s entertainment industry for decades, addressed the rumors in a recent interview, stressing that marriage is not bound by age.

Responding to a question about speculation surrounding her personal life, Nisho dismissed claims that she had already married secretly. Instead, she explained that while she continues to receive proposals, she is currently enjoying life and has not made any decisions. “If Allah has written a fourth marriage in my fate, then it will happen. These matters are in God’s hands,” she said.

The actress further emphasized that her children have no objections to the idea of her remarrying. She argued that marriage is a natural part of life, and society should not treat it as a taboo, particularly for widowed or divorced women. “Marriage has nothing to do with age. If it is destined, I will marry again,” Nisho remarked.

Highlighting cultural contrasts, the actress compared Pakistan with Saudi Arabia, noting that in the kingdom, widows and divorced women are often remarried without stigma. “In Saudi Arabia, women may marry multiple times if their circumstances demand it, but here, society has made marriage into a problem,” she said.

Nisho also pointed out that since religion permits marriage, no one should object if she chooses to wed again. “If it is in my destiny, I will go ahead with a fourth marriage as well,” she asserted.

The veteran actress’s personal life has long been in the public eye. She married for the first time in 1970, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1976. Two years later, in 1978, she married writer Tasleem Fazli, who passed away in 1982. In 1986, she tied the knot with film director Jamal Pasha, who remained her husband until his death in 2019.

In recent weeks, speculation regarding her fourth marriage has circulated widely on social media, prompting her candid response. Fans and critics alike have weighed in, with some praising her confidence while others questioned the timing of her remarks.

As the conversation continues, Nisho Begum’s statement has reignited discussion on marriage, age, and societal expectations for women in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
