DUBAI ( Khyber Point)Pakistan’s cricket stars Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi have achieved notable improvements in the latest ICC ODI Player Rankings, giving fans fresh cause for celebration.
According to the International Cricket Council’s updated standings, ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan has climbed from 27th to 25th position among batters, securing 592 rating points. His steady progress reflects consistent performances in recent matches. Meanwhile, opening batter Fakhar Zaman holds firm at 28th place with 584 points, continuing to be a reliable figure in Pakistan’s top order.
Other Pakistani batters also feature prominently. Salman Agha stands at 38th place, while Imam-ul-Haq is ranked 40th. Young talent Saim Ayub sits at 55th with 503 points, showing promise for the future. On the other hand, Abdullah Shafique has slipped one spot to 99th with 419 points. At the top of the batting charts, India’s Shubman Gill leads with 784 points, followed by skipper Rohit Sharma with 756. Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam remains steady at third place with 739 points, keeping the rivalry alive.
In the bowling department, Shaheen Afridi has made a strong push upward, moving to joint 13th position alongside India’s Mohammad Siraj, with both securing 593 points. Haris Rauf holds 29th position, while Abrar Ahmed is placed 39th. Naseem Shah also improved, rising one spot to 45th with 491 points. Among others, Mohammad Nawaz dropped to 67th, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. stands at 75th with 410 points.
Globally, South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj retains the No.1 bowler ranking, followed by Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana at second and India’s Kuldeep Yadav at third.
